We adopted our kid's four year old, 19lb, male tuxedo cat. We just love him an how wonderfully he has adjusted to his new home. He will be due for a rabies check in October and his previous vet also suggested a teeth cleaning. All suggestions welcome! Thanks-

We really like Bayleaf Animal Hospital. All the doctors are great, and the prices are VERY reasonable.

You cannot beat Doc Fisher imo. He is very real, very honest, and does not charge for things that are not necessary. He is very good with our dog and cats(especially the one who was shellshocked by the time we got there). She was a rescue from a bad life and is very skittish. He was amazing with her and she was fine. The front office staff are also excellent. They knew I had a skittish cat so they suggested I stay with her in the car until it was our turn and then they would come out and tell us so that she was not sitting in the lobby with dogs. The wait was not long though.

great experiences at Magnolia and Bayleaf is our vet just cause it's closer but thinking Magnolia may be a bit more affordable.
I love them because they do a lot of work with the Coalition to Unchain Dogs....

Not in Raleigh but The Cat Hospital of Durham/ Chapel Hill is great. Deals with only cats so no dogs means that there is one less thing to stress your furry friend out.

Speaking of affordable, can anyone tell me how these prices compare with what you're seeing out there? We rescued a mama cat and four older kittens, so need to figure out the most cost-effective way of getting them vetted and spayed/neutered. This is a quote from our regular vet:

Kitten Exam, 55.00
Fecal Exam, 25.00
FELV/FIV/Hrtwrm Test, 45.00
Fel Leuk Vacc #1, 25.00
Fel Leuk Vacc #2, 25.00
Purevax Fel Rabies Vacc, 23.00
FVRCP Fel Distemp Vacc #1, 25.00
FVRCP Fel Distemp Vacc #2, 25.00
FVRCP Fel Distemp Vacc #3, 25.00
Neuter, 119.50 (includes hospitalization, anesthesia, nail trim)
Chem 10 blood panel, 50.50

Thanks!

Dr Jon's Magnolia Animal Hospital has served us well for 15 years. They try to consider your budget and are excellent doctors.
