My wife and I are entertaining guest from the northeast for the first time since moving to the RTP area, and are at a loss for things to do. We are looking to plan about 3-4 days of activiities while not breaking the bank (~50 per day per couple ). We want to find an RTP unique experience with a good balance of activities that are active in nature ( ie biking, hiking) and social. Unfortunately, being new and busy, we have not had time to learn about what the region has to offer. I am hoping to get some suggestions for things to do, as my initially google searches yield things that are either boring or too expensive. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Are you in Raleigh or actually in RTP or elsewhere in the Triangle. I could make some suggestions for the western edge of the Triangle, but not sure that would give a Raleigh experience if that's what you're wanting.
