In florida we had a tiny strip of bald cypress trees that would turn in January, for a couple of days. They are on the side of I-275 and that was the extent of it, ha

Wink it is beautiful out there

It's just bursting out there with color. The roads are just 1 big autumn scene.
Yup this past week it hit home with the colors. Oh yeah it does get better with the colors being more sharper, but I am thrilled we have this color at all this year
You get on a hilltop and look down at all the trees and all the colors, it's pretty good stuff!
Welcome to NC in fall !!!!

Awesome Autumngal - such an appropriate name for you with these wonderful pics.

When I was little we lived outside of Boston and during the fall we would get in the car and drive around just looking at the fall colors. Even on the street we lived on, and there were not tons of trees, there was fall color. I can still remember going out with a grocery bag picking up the prettiest leaves in our neighborhood and bringing them home, only to be so sad when a week later all I had was a big bag of brown leaves . We did the thing when you place the leaves between two pieces of wax paper and iron them together to preserve the color a little longer, but still, give it a month and we were back to brown. I can't wait to be back east where autumn means enjoying the cool air, driving around to look at the beautiful colors, and drinking hot cocoa while watching football games.

Thanks again for all that color.
