My girlfriend lived in Salem Woods many years back, and loved it. It seemed like all the neighbors were close at the time. She has since moved out of state, but I know that the home she lived in was really pretty. It is a good area, and close to everything.

Its a nice, more established area. I have shown quite a few homes in this area. One thing to watch out for though, is the type of plumbing the house has. Homes built in this time period used alot of Polybutelyne Plumbing. They stopped using it around 1995. Also, check the siding carefully. If it has Hardboard Masonite, you may have to repair/replace some if it has rotted. If you need assistance, and do not have a realtor, I will be glad to show you any homes you are interested in.

Salem Woods is an older neighborhood but that location is so close to anything and everything. One of the builders in my neighborhood was building in there about 16 years ago. I remember hearing that it was a great neighborhood, as far as 4th of July pot luck dinners, etc. but I'm not sure how it is now. I say take a drive through and if the homes and yards look good and the people are friendly...you may have found yourself a new home! Vicki

Well, the house I'm interested in buying in this area says on it's disclosure that their pipes are "PFC" and that they were replaced in 2004. But I'm not sure what PFC stands for... anybody?
