I left a message on 9194205343 about a week ago requesting a call back for a passport related appointment. No call back yet despite a follow up message. Just wondering how long the call back takes or if there is an office I can visit to secure an appointment.

You can visit any Post Office that does Passports and they will advise you if they can take you in immediately or if you need an appointment. They will also advise you as to what paperwork needs to be filled out and which documents you need to have with you when you return.

I'd drop by in person. I had to do this in another city - I had called several times and no one ever responded. Dig around, too - in my case, the Clerk of Court's office actually answered the phone to make an appointment.

I just dropped in at the Cary location (Wrenn Ave.) Didn't need an appointment, and there was only a very brief wait.

this was a topic several weeks ago.

My experience 2 years ago, and 2 months ago, were completely different to above. You are not "dropping in" any Wake County post office except by luck. They work by appointment, and are typically weeks out. Your best bet is a nearby small town post office that handles passports, Wendell & Angier both have high marks. But they're still by appointment.
