Yes, they are two schools now. I do not live in that area and I have had doubts about that over the past four years. However, at the time, our Realtor was vehemently opposed to us making an offer on a property in Rolesville. It's hard to know if that was the right thing or not.
For Wake Forest- is Wake Forest High school the same school as Wake Forest Rolesville High School?
If you live in Wake Forest, are you happy with these schools? Other schools?
As others have said...it used to be one school....now it's two since Rolesville opened up last year.
We didn't go to WF, but many of my daughter's friends did (and we were zoned for it - we picked the home with the idea that we would be going there) and the parents have no complaints about WF and most think very highly of it and Heritage.

I hope you find what you are looking for.
I've never heard anything but good things about Rolesville so I'm curious as to why your agent would have been against you moving there. Can you elaborate?
the new section of Heritage is also in Rolesville. And I've heard good things about the new high school, as well!

I'm not sure at this point. It's been four years and I have been dealing with so much other stuff that I've forgotten her reasons.
I do recall that we were "power shopping" every weekend, but would also drive around on our own and check out various communities. We drove up north and saw a subdivision in Rolesville. We stopped and talked to some residents who were outside and even got to see someone's house. I really liked the area and wasn't too concerned about it being a "new" community. I'm not sure why that's an issue since every community started out new at some point. I left a voicemail for our Realtor and told her that we wanted comps on the area and to possible make an offer on the house we saw. She all but sat us in the corner for a "time out." lol She was not happy and steered us far, far away from that idea. I don't know if she just didn't want to deal with a property so far away from Raleigh/Cary/Apex or had some personal gripe with the area or what. I admit that I was exhausted from the move and whole transition and probably would have pushed a bit more if I wasn't.
ETA: I didn't think her behavior was too odd at the time. I had been in contact with a local Realtor recommended by my Realtor in Chicago. She was in LOVE with Durham and would mail me information about Durham all the time. She would talk about Durham to the exclusion of every other area in the Triangle and would outright any question or discussion about anyplace else. It finally got to the point that I told her that I wanted to know different areas and would make a decision to exclude areas on my own. She didn't like that at all and continued to shove Durham down our throats. I have nothing against Durham but I think it's unfair for a Realtor, especially a relocation specialist, to try to force people into THEIR preferred area without giving us a chance to at least see or learn about other areas.
