I'm hearing that in addition to the Mexican culture there is a presence of Caribbean Latinos in the area as well, though not sure how much, but how big is the salsa & merengue live music scene there in Raleigh / Durham / Chapel Hill area?

I'm not sure, but I hear that a restaurant/club called Latin Quarter may offer that.

Well I looked it up the Latin Quarters and it is a restaurant and salsa music place too so thanks for that tip. There is also another one called Carmen's Cuban Cafe which is also similar with food, drink, music, dance. Then there is another restaurant specializing in Puerto Rican food like Latin Quarters Called Tropical Picken Chicken. I'm gonna keep checking some more places. Keep in mind I have not tried any of them yet but the pics of the food are enticing no doubt. If I find more I'll keep the list growing.

Now how about some good ole authentic Italian Bakeries? Anyone with ideas?
