I have a roof with plenty of life left in it, but would like somebody to install a ridge vent. The roof has a single ridge and is at a slight pitch so it wouldn't be a complicated job. Anybody have somebody that they would recommend?

I'm suspecting that roofing companies would charge a little more due to having the middleman between subcontractor and customer and so I wanted to try any one or two-person outfits if there are any good recommendations.

Thanks!

At the moment Allen and Deans is my go to company for roofing. They are fairly small and might meet your needs. The owner completes the estimate and was onsite for work we had done.

Ditto on Allen and Deans.
Matt just put a roof on my house, and did a great job.
He has his own full time repair crew who would be able to install a ridge vent.

Allen and Deans Inc.

Please research this job carefully before hiring anyone.

A ridge vent is a good idea but won't be effective by itself. You may need to increase the number of soffit vents. You definitely need to block off any open gable vents.

For knowledgeable advice, contact any of these good folks ...

Go with Baker Roofing. They are the best. Whatever you do..... do not use "RoofRoof" company....they screwed me and cost me $1200 to fix their mistake.

I used Newsome Roofing for my roof a few years ago. Locally owned company and a trustworthy guy.
