Is that ALL of Raleigh or just an indication it will be available...somewhere in Raleigh?
I gave up cable/satellite TV 6 years ago and haven't looked back. Turns out I wasn't watching enough TV to justify the cost. Now I can download what I want from the Interwebs.
So TWC is saying that the digital conversion will be done by end of summer, not that the faster speeds will necessarily have rolled out by then. It's a two step process.
I have an Arris SB6183 so for me I go to the website http://192.168.100.1 from a computer on my local network which brings up the modem configuration page. Click the status tab and you will see your current channel bonding profile and signal levels. MAXX will require 16 downstream and 4 upstream bonded channels.
The highest two service tiers require 16x4, but the 100M/10M service is supported on 8x4 cable modems as well. So in my case, once MAXX is turned on, I'll go to 100/10 with my current equipment, even though I'm entitled to the 300/20 service.
Since it appears that we're getting close, I'm probably going to buy a 16x4 device soon.
there seems to be a little bit of speed bump. I used to get 33/5 mbps consistently, but today, it's always 37/6
