Just been e-mailed yet again more price reductions for this KB community . Sounds like they haven't got an on-site agent anymore either.
Initial base price of the floor plan I was interested in was 480K at the end of 2006. Now its 340K!
Imagine how some of the earlier buyers must be feeling right now. I'd be livid and consider my refusal to buy at inflated prices a fortunate decision.
This has been a concern when buying KB Homes...they tend to change their pricing often, based on what is selling and what isn't.
In the past, builders didn't change their "base" pricing except to go UP in price but with the market, it IS a problem when you purchase in a new neighborhood and then the builder decides to drop the price.
Is KB a good builder anyway?? Their homes in Cary are on the cheap side as well.... Homes in North Raleigh look very nice, and the lots are big, but what about the quality I guess you pay for what you get and when the base price is at $93 per sf, you shouldn't expect much
Just learned that around 70 of the remaining lots at Wynbrooke will NOT be developed by KB. I assume they are the ones that have yet to be cleared and are nicer lots than the ones currently available.
Seems like a bit of a strange decision. Maybe KB just haven't the cash to buy the rest of the lots. Lets hope the new builder produce a similar quality of product.
Wynbrooke is having an event on March 28th for their VIP customers to purchase homes before opening to the general public for sales. M/I sent info out today to those people on the VIP list.
VIP customer = marketing hype, been there done that.

I feel bad for anyone who bought there, but I don't know what else the builders can do. People just aren't clamoring to buy $400K houses in this market and if they are there is plenty of inventory for them to chose from in addition to Wynbrooke
