OK, after searching the threads, I've compiled a good list of places to eat in Chapel Hill/Durham.

I have some family coming into town from Up North, and wanted to float this out there. . .

Looking for some good places to eat this Saturday afternoon in the Chapel Hill/Durham area. Going to probably take them to American Tobacco campus area from the airport.

Looking for something nice, not too pricy, possibly a mix of Southern comfort/soul food and some other, traditional items like sandwiches, wraps, soups, etc.

Pile on and throw out some good "late Saturday lunch" places, and thank you in advance!

If you're headed into Durham from the airport, I'd focus on establishments there - plenty in Durham to choose from, and I'm sure folks with offer up good suggestions.

There are also a wealth of places in Chapel Hill ... but it's a home football game this Saturday (7:00 game).

Yeah, pick one — Durham or Chapel Hill.

In Chapel Hill, if you're wanting Southern, Crook's would be iconic for Sunday brunch or supper. Mama Dips would be down home. The Crossroads at the Carolina Inn would be genteel Southern and the Weathervane is fun if they want to look around Southern Season.

if there's a home game in Chapel Hill Saturday night, then I wouldn't go over there after 3 pm.

118 Got Soul closed back in May due to a fire in the building. I haven't heard of any plans for it to reopen. Dame's, on the other hand, is a great option!

Dame's is a great option. I always look forward to eating there.

Just a few other ideas I haven't seen mentioned:

If you'll be on the American Tobacco campus already, and you're up for BBQ, then you could try Ed Mitchell's Que. I don't know anyone that has eaten there yet, though, so I can't say how it is. Ed Mitchells Que - North Carolina Barbecue | Whole Hog BBQ - Durham NC

Another option could be to head down to Rigsbee/Geer...lots of options there, most have food, all have indoor/outdoor seating if the weather is nice. You could park your car and visit one or all of these locations.
-Fullsteam brewery (no food, but usually has a food truck out front on weekends)
-The Pit (excellent BBQ https://thepit-durham.com/)
-Geer Street Garden (I'm not a big fan, but others love it, and they have a nice outdoor space Geer Street Garden)
-Motorco (Parts & Labor | M O T O R C O)
-Kokyu (my favorite food truck in Durham, can be found parked in this area most weekends KoKyu | Street Feeds)
