Hi,

I work in Fayetteville, and would like to know if anyone has experience commuting from the Holly Springs/Cary area to Fayetteville on a daily basis. Google maps says, takes about an hour. Any information on the traffic and it being worth the commute time to live in Holly Springs would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Not HS specifically, but I seem to remember some folks that lived in Fuquay and commuted to Fayetteville.

Whenever I've gone to Fayetteville I go 401. I don't imagine traffic is an issue on that road.

My brother in law used to live in the Clayton area (near exit 312) and commuted to Fayetteville daily.

Not sure WHERE in Fayetteville he worked but the area that he lived in, in Clayton, was close to the highway. He said it took him an hour.

I live in East Clayton and make the drive regularly, as both my wife and I have most of our families in SC. Fayetteville takes me 60-75 minutes. Clayton roughly lines up with Holly Springs N-S.

HS to Fayetteville via 401 is about an hour to an hour and 10 minutes. Unfortunately, most times you get stuck behind someone slow and have to wait until you can pass. Once you get through Lillington it opens up nicely.

That would be a little long. I would look into parts of FV, Garner & Clayton, instead. Still long, but way better than living in Fayetteville, IMO. Of course, YMMV.
