Most are open on Sundays.

I assume this one won't be open because Crosspointe wants to use the facilities on Sundays, and they're the ones building it and leasing to YMCA for the other six days a week.

I'm not sure I'd want to join one that wasn't available on Sundays. I was sitting here just now thinking of the two I've been a member of (the one here in Cary and the one out in Wakefield) and I thought they were open on Sundays. Hence my confusion.

I love Google. Takes the guess work out of life.

CARY FAMILY YMCA BRANCH HOURS
FACILITY HOURS
Monday – Thursday: 5:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Friday: 5:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Saturday: 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday: 12 - 7 p.m.

My guess is that the new Y and the Cary Y will have some sort of reciprocal agreement so the new Y members can use the Cary Y's facilities on Sundays.

Yeah. I didn't care enough about it to Google it.

No problem. I had an extra 30 seconds available today to help alleviate any confusion.

I attend Crosspointe. It was my understanding that the church will be going to 2 services a weekend, instead of the current 3 (larger space will accomodate the larger Sunday attendance). That would leave the afternoon open. Here is the church site for the project:

http://thewhyproject.net/

If you read the FAQ's, it somewhat gives you the impression that the new Y will be open on Sunday afternoons (as Crosspointe only needs the mornings and evenings), and I somewhat recall that was what was said during the church update meeting.
