Hello, can anybody please tell me about the area around Treyburn CC,
If I were to go from there to Whole Foods on 501, is that drive considered a safe drive or are there
Some bad bad areas along the route
Thank you for your help

Perfectly safe -- US 501 to Duke St. to downtown/Ninth St. and the Whole Foods.

It is, however, a LOOOONG drive, especially when dealing with traffic.

Remarks from the peanut galleries notwithstanding, there are almost no areas in Durham that aren't safe to drive or walk through. I could count on a few fingers what those are. When my wife had to detour the Durham Freeway and ended up accidentally close to a public housing project by Durham Tech, I talked her out of there and met her to help her get home. In North Durham, the only area I would give significant due care to would be the Dearborn/Old Oxford Hwy. area east of Roxboro St.

I agree with BCR. I drive that route quite frequently and have never had any issues or felt the slightest bit unsafe.

I don't know where you're moving from, but there's not an area I can think of that I'd be concerned about getting car-jacked or otherwise robbed while I was driving from place to place. And I'm a Durham native.
