Declaring revenge & a
street war on a group of people that risk their lives everyday to
serve & protect lives is sickening to me !!!!!

had posted before the act that it was for revenge..
Yes he was mentally ill & there are plenty of people like that
that react to biased news stories...
And I guess I don't view the world in black & white.
Not all police officers are serving and protecting their communities.
but all cops (good, bad, black, white & hispanic ) are in greater
danger now because of the emotion being stirred up by
Al Sharpton, Obama, the news, the protestors that are burning down
things, protestors that overturn police cars, protestors calling for dead cops, protestors blocking highways...
Martin Luther King Jr knew that changes that needed to be made could be best made by
peaceful means..not killing, hate speech, racial divisiveness...
If blacks want to honor him so much why do they ignore his wisdom & teachings ???

What is wrong with emotion being stirred?
See, you lump everyone together. There is nothing in common between the message of Obama, Al Sharpton, or peaceful protestors - and those who are doing violent & malicious acts.
If you're in America it is your right to be able to peacefully protest.
What do you want people to do otherwise?
A man was KILLED by a police officer, on video, performing an illegal move to restrain an un-armed citizen. For selling loose cigarettes. And he got off scott free. That doesn't bother you? If you roll a stop-sign, do you feel that an officer has a right to drag you out of your car and choke you into submission? And if you resist, he can end your life?
Because if you feel that is a-okay behavior, you and me have absolutely nothing to discuss.
You talk about Dr. King & racial diviseness. Black or white - we should all be honoring him. He ultimately fought and died for equal rights for American citizens.
Being a police officer is always dangerous. These people weren't forced into that job. Being a member of law enforcement is a PRIVILEGE. Plenty of people are turned down by law enforcement agencies every year. Those who join know full well what they're getting into. They do it because they enjoy the action, the excitement, the authority, and the paycheck. If you don't want to fight crime, guess what, don't become a police officer. It's pretty simple. If you want to play cops & robbers for a living - carrying a gun, riding in a squad car, throwing cuffs on the bad guys... you should expect the other side to react accordingly.
I think you're completely wrong in your assumptions and theories. Defending those who hunt down cops, is not only ridiculous, but a dangerous way of thinking.

Who is defending those who hunt down cops?
I'm defending those who peacefully protest against cops who abuse their position & authority, killing un-armed American citizens.
The idea that people need to be silent in the face of blatant police brutaliy - because two men, exiting an abandoned apartment complex located near the most notorious housing project & neighborhood in Durham, fired shots at a police officer instead of lying down and taking a sentence without putting up a struggle - is what's dangerous to me.
I don't support their actions. But what they did is not because of people protesting Ferguson & NY. It's because they're criminals and live on the other side of the law. That's not new.
Behan, BRAVO to everything you've said - I could only rep you once
