I am a C++ Software Engineer with 5 years of experience currently living in California, trying to find work in the triangle area. I am currently employed and periodically get contacted by recruiters, however I still have yet to connect with a recruiter offering job opportunities that match my interests in NC, my #1 choice relocation preference.

I have a personal website that details my professional background, but in brief most of my experience has been working in Linux using C++/Python/Bash with a primary focus on algorithms, graphics and middleware development.

Can anybody help me get in contact with a recruiter that has jobs in my areas of interest in Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill/Cary ?

Thank you.

Contact Robert Half. They have a pretty big presence in the Triangle.

Getting in touch with recruiters can be useful, but I would also do the following:

* Make a list of companies in the area that you may be interested in working for
* Research those companies
* Look for people in your LinkedIn network that work for or are connected to people that work at your argeted companies
* Join and start to participate in NC LinkedIn groups

Also remember that most large companies have several facilities. If one of your target companies happens to have a local office or even a job listed locally, you may be able to negotiate working that job in a NC office. The job I've had for the past 3 years was originally supposed to be in the Santa Clara/San Jose area, but I was hired and work in one of the RTP offices.

Good luck!

Try RedHat.

Also, I agree with another poster that suggested it's easier to transfer in than hire in from out of town. That was basically my path.

I have used Robert Half to fill an opening I had 6 months ago. The candidate was so good, I hired him full time. I would recommend speaking with Tony Clark over at Robert Half.
