Yeah, I can see what you're saying. I was there shooting for the Indy so the daylight made for good shots. My fave shows from back in the day would have to be at the Cradle or the 506, but I also like the Haw River Ballroom for some good recent shows.

I missed the Memorial auditorium show few years ago. Regret that severely ,especially since their opening band Die Antwoord became one of my favorite groups literally within a couple months after the show.

Please Red Hat booking :Jane's Addiction.....
It was in February of 1989, iirc. I was at the Chapel Hill show the next time they came through, and then also at that first Lollapalooza. Seems like I saw a show in Virginia somewhere in there, too.

I shot them at Memorial a few years ago, but it wasn't Die Antwoord opening, it was a band called The Duke Spirit.

That's weird it must have been a last minute change. I googled the tour and Die Antwoord is listed as their opening act at several other venues. I remember because I was debating if I should go and was curious about the opening band. I remember looking it up and and thinking that it was that weird band with the late night video they showed on TV from time to time, "Enter the ninja", I didn't go and was telling someone about that video several months later. It's after checking out their other work that I became a fan and hated I had missed that show. I did catch the Ritz one last time.
