Awesome dude, I actually don't think I've ever seen an eagle now that I think of it.

Pretty sure we have seen one around lake crabtree as well out the window at work. When the bald eagle comes cruising in the other birds roll out asap.

I'm enthralled by the birds of prey we see these days in the Triangle.

They're everywhere around here. And they're nesting right now. There's usually a pair on Lake Raleigh too.

How awesome is that. I've only ever seen one in captivity because it only had one wing. I was struck by how massive it was, never realized their size.

A couple months ago my dog was outside in the yard, when I saw a huge shadow from my kitchen window and heard my dog barking. I walk outside on my deck and a bald eagle flies about 20 feet over my head and into the woods behind out house. It was so cool to see one so close with their huge wingspan. Glad my dog is closer to 40 lbs., so the eagle wasn't interested in carrying her away.

Very cool pictures. Yes, we do have a large population of Bald Eagles around here. Lots of ospreys on the water, too. We have red shouldered hawks and barred owls in our neighborhood. Got a barred owl who likes to sit in a pine in our backyard.
