Just moved to the Raleigh area and my wife and I are looking into purchasing a live edge dining table that will seat 8. Any recommendations on places that may carry these? Or ideally, if anyone can recommend a woodworker that makes tables it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in Advance!
There is a carpenter at the Re-use Warehouse in durham that makes lovely furniture. I've seen slabs of wood there too.
I almost made a live edge walnut table. I was going to rent a van and drive the two hours west to pick up the slab and bring it home. In the end I chose not to take on the project because I would have had to buy quite a few tools to finish the table. The slab was over $800, more Walnut for the legs would have been another $300-$500. As someone else had mentioned there are people on Craigslist with live edge tables. Or just google live edge tables Raleigh NC and it will bring up some sites. Definitely not cheap but beautiful. Especially if you can get lucky and have it one solid slab. Book match sets are okay too, but I love the single slab look.
Quinn at Live Edge Wood Designs did a wonderful job on a piece of slab I bought from Klingspor's Woodworking Shop on Capital blvd. It is the large center table they termed "Chunky Monkey" among the Furniture pieces they listed under the "portfolio" tab. I still have the remaining 50" of that slab (it was a 115" slab) if anyone is interested.
