Making a rocking chair

My first coffee table and dining table was one of those wooden spools. Utility companies used to leave the empties by the side of the road because there were plenty of people that would snatch them up.

They're really hard to find nowadays. The companies used to just leave them but now they get sent back to the supplier and reloaded with cable.
