This is in the Food Lion Plaza at Cary Pkwy and Old Apex. It's an old Rite Aid, and probably should close, with all the newer, more modern CVS and Walgreens on every block.

I was wondering if anyone knew what might be going in? I know this sounds crazy, but I'd love to see a Dollar Tree (specifically, not dollar general, not family dollar) go in there. I would have voted for an Aldi, but that seems to be going a couple miles down the road at Trader Joes Plaza. That plaza already has some decent eats: Salvios is among my favorites, and Tangerine is good also. The chinese is generic but convenient, and subway is, well "subway". I think it needs another decent draw to stay relevant. (The hardwares store seems to do alright too.)

Just wondering if anyone knows, or if it's even decided yet?

I'm hoping for a nice quiet pool hall.

Nope. That's not happening. The sign was an error.

In that case:
1. Aldi (ain't happening here, either)
2. Dollar Tree

Thanks for the updated info. I hate it isn't happening, but I won't shoot the messenger.

It should be interesting. There's a bunch of vacant Rite Aid locations now. There's one in Apex as well that's been sitting at 55 and Hunter Street.

LOL

I think they will not close and clear out in time for that.
Maybe a pop up Christmas store, although Costco already has their stuff out.
