I'm just curious...after deciding that The Triangle Area was where you were going to call home, where did you end up? Specifically, the neighborhood, subdivision (or not), price range, etc. AND...are you happy with your choice? What is YOUR neighborhood like? Welcoming? Quiet? Tons of Kids?

Tell us everything!!

The Park at West Lake. Great builder (Heavenly Homes). Great neighborhood. Great price - low 400's. Kids everywhere. Friendly neighbors from everywhere. This has been a great move and experience for my family.

We started in Fuquay because we were able to get land with a house there. When Fuquay exploded, we looked elsewhere for more land and ended up in Willow Spring. Both towns have plenty of wonderful neighborhoods depending on what you are looking for. Neither of our two hoods were loud, most folks in both stayed to themselves and both had a fair share of kids and retirees. Got lucky with a good mix!

Thanks for your replies...livnthedream--that was exactly what I wanted to hear...we are very seriously considering Park at West Lake. We have 3 kids: Son 9, Daughter 7, Daughter 4. We're doing it all for them!

Stone Creek Village in Cary

Townhomes $300's to $500's

Fantastic living. Best move I have ever made.

I cannot imagine life any better than it is now.

Holly Glen subdivision in Holly Springs. Great, family-friendly neighborhood. Homes range from low 200's to mid-300's. New elementary school and high school right down the road. A new middle school will be completed in the next 2 years. Great new library and cultural center in town. Booming area, but still feels rural, IMO.

We settled on Fuquay. We love it!! Though only there part-time at the moment. It has a really cute down-town area but still has many shops and Restaurants.

Our neighborhood is really quiet. We hardly ever see anybody out. I think we'll stay in Fuquay maybe just upgrade so something a bit bigger when were there full time.

Good luck

Default Park at Westlake

We too moved to the Park at Westlake and totally love it. Such an incredible community... tons of families, lots of social activities and events. Love it here!

We ended up in Weldon Ridge in West Cary there are three parts to the neighborhood the price range is from the low $300's to the upper $500's. Similar to other posters, new elementary, middle school coming. Lots of kids in the neighborhood which is surprising for the higher price point. Near the edge of development in general so very close to farmland and the American Tobacco Trail. Love the area, no regrets, easy transition for my children! Best of luck!

Morrisville...Savannah...$300s. Love it. Small (we did not want to be in one of those huge subdivisions), kids, families, etc. Love the town.
