Default Broadmoor/Broadmoor West subdivision

Please help! My family is gathering info for a relocation to Clayton area (we think right now that Clayton is best area for our preferences). We are most interested in the Broadmoor/Broadmoor West community, b/c it appears the homes are all or mostly brick, very nice, with very nice lot sizes and trees. We really want at least 1/2 acre of land to live on, but with a community surrounding including pool, tennis.
We also have a preschool son (will be 4 years old when we move there), so want a very safe, very low crime area and great schools.
Are we looking in the right area? Can anyone send pics of Broadmoor communities and/or provide more info to help us narrow our search options.

Are there any other similar upscale communities that we should be looking into? Looking to spend $300-350K on a home.
Thanks for any help you all can provide. We are getting excited to make the transition to NC from Missouri!

Broadmoor is upscale with all brick homes but it does not have trees. Its moreso open-field type lots.

But it does meet your other criteria...pool/community center , low-crime, brick homes and nice schools.

For treed-lots you may want to look into the Glen Laurel community in Clayton.

The Broadmoor Subdivision
Check out the Broadmoor Website. It actually depends on what part of Broadmoor you want to live in if you want trees or not. They have opened new sections with wooded lots. We've lived here for 4 years and absolutely love it! We are districted to the best schools in the county. Look on the NC Dept. of Public Instruction website for that information. On the other side of Clayton, besides Glen Laurel you can check into the Riverwood Communities as well as Flowers Plantation communities. The only problem with those is you lose that easy access to I-40.

The new section of Broadmoore might be the west...not sure is the brick homes....the older or first phase if I remember right had an array of homes that were different colors/siding...

Other areas u could look into which would be on the other side of town...where we just bought would be the flowers plantation area....they have a bunch of developments in a wide price range....The village has homes in that $ range, walker woods has a few left which is where we are, mill creek west.....although.....the village is the only one where u will get the pool right in your neighborhood.....the others have association but its a mile down the road....

Also.....over in broadmoore the pool is over on the first phase side.....u can drive it or there is a back road thru the development that u can take to get there.....its not necessarily right there but u wont have to take a trail along the main rd like we do....Glen Laurel is a nice development its large line 600 homes or something like that they have the golf course, pool and tennis.....however you pay city taxes there.....nice homes.

And Riverwood as mentioned, they have a great pool the athletic club is there.....and they have the elem and ms right at the opening of the development.....

Broadmoor is a very nice community. There are some bankruptcy homes available and prices there are not what they use to be. You will like it and if you want all brick it is good place to call home.

My father started the Broadmoor neighborhood with another gentleman some years ago. After a number of years he sold his share of the neighborhood. I regret to this day that we did not keep a lot or two in the neighborhood as it is a very nice place to live. I was was the original on site broker out there as well, in the beginning before Broadmoor West.
