Hi everyone!

I live in the little small town of Roxboro and am about to graduate from Person High School and continue my education at Johnson and Wales in Charlotte. I came across this site when I was doing some research on my future city and I realized I could be a real asset to this section of the forum because I live/visit the area regularly!

Now to my question...
Does anyone know of any vegetarian restaurants in the Durham or Chapel Hill area? It doesn't have to be exclusively vegetarian but must have a vegetarian menu.

Thanks in advance!

I've just moved here from FL about a week ago and have found its much easier to be vegan here. I haven't found too many of the restaurants yet that were listed in the other posts but I have noticed that the grocery stores do carry more even in the small towns then I am used to. (There are actually still stores that exist in FL that don't even carry soymilk!) Whole Foods has some amazing mock egg salad and chicken salads in their deli! The guys my hubby works with said that Chapel Hill is the place for the veg restaurants so looking forward to seeing some more recents posts! Anyway - just saying hi to a fellow veg!!

Hello Fellow Veggies!!

I'm a vegan. Some of my favorite haunts are:

Lilly's pizza - The staff is very, very accommodating. The dough does contain honey.

Lilly's Pizza - Five Points, Raleigh

Spotted Dog

Irregardless Cafe

Second Empire - The chef will create you a unique vegan creation.
