Chabad and Lubavitch are one in the same. The Chabad-Lubavitch is a sect of the Hasidim practice of the Jewish faith. All Hasidim are ultra-orthodox with the noteworthy differences between the sects being revealed in their approach and practice of the faith.
Generally speaking the Chabad-Lubavitch are more outgoing and endeavor to connect with Jewish people in a non-judgmental, non-threatening way. Although they would never (for example) eat non-kosher food or drive during the Sabbath they don't outwardly frown upon it (unless you ask them what they think). Their approach is that they're happy to have you participate in their congregation regardless of how observant you are or aren't.
They are also tend to work harder on building bridges between the various faiths as they prefer to have an active and welcomed role in their community.
