GIS Mapping of Franklin County (http://www.co.franklin.nc.us/ROK/mapviewer/viewer.htm - broken link)

This is a great way of finding out more about a lot you might be interested in. Even if it is not yet built upon.

Franklin County also added a video to their newly designed site. Check it out . . .

Default I was on this site earlier tonight

Franklin county has a decent GIS mapping system online. One thing I noticed, was the pixel loss when zooming in. Usually, most counties GIS systems will allow a little closer zoom prior to distortion as great as Franklin's.

I also like the picture snapped of each home's exterior. My old company did this for a munipality. That way, the 911 dispatchers would pull the house up and GPS coordinates immediately.
