What do you recommend? Cheap or expensive, doesn't matter much.

My former one was a 24-hour gym, but I don't need a 24 hour gym or anything, but it wouldn't hurt.

Gold's has a location at Pleasant Valley, right down Glenwood, and it's my favorite Gold's in the area (also the newest). But, since they are a chain, you could also go to their other locations if you were near one (Celebration at Six Forks, North Hills, Cary, or RTP).

Planet Fitness behind the Carmax on Glenwood. $10 a month...no contract.

My old Peak membership was transferred to Gold's on Glenwood Ave. As Francois says, it's a well run facility.
Just consider the time of day you would work at as NC70 can be heavy if you're driving from Briar Creek during rush hour.

I would point out that many of these aren't really close to Brier Creek, but they are just about a 15 minute drive away. I don't know of any fitness clubs up in this neighborhood, except the ones associated with an apartment building or the country club. I've heard that some people pay to use the pool at the Hampton Inn. Maybe they'd let you pay to use their gym too, but I don't know how good it is.

There's an Anytime Fitness off of TW Alexander, which is pretty close to Brier Creek, probably closer than any of the other gyms that have been listed. Plus they're a 24-7 gym.

It must be really good... The parking lot is always absolutely packed when I drive by there.
