i noticed that crate and barrel has a couple of rugs on sale at Crabtree Mall. wool/cotton ones, pretty basic, but good quality. limited color selection, but if you like green, red, brown, or purple, you might be in luck.

We're looking for something at least 8x11 but maybe as large as 10x13...so, C/B and other designer stores like that typically don't go much larger than 7x9 unfortunately (if that big even!)

Hi, Sneezecake...We went through the same thing - trying to find the right area rug. It was tough for my wife and I to decide. When we finally settled on a rectangle instead of an oval, we then had to choose colors and patterns. I don't have an eye for that kind of thing, so my wife and I got a custom area rug that met all our criteria. You might want to try this store in

I've been checking out rugs on overstock.com. They are more reasonably priced than many and have $1 shipping too.

Default Capel gets my vote

I went to Capel when I first moved to NC and was very pleased. Their selection is enormous (or at least it was 12 yrs. ago).

I would suggest bringing the measurements of your room, the measurements of your table with chairs pushed out as if in use, and if at all possible if any fabric is used in the room, bring a sample with you. Or even a chair if they're upholstered.

They were helpful and advised me with ideas. Even if you don't end up purchasing from them, you'll have suggestions on what to do. Their return policy was very customer friendly, too.
Best,
toodie

Just rugs on Glenwood. Across from CarMax. They have lots of rugs and good prices.
