Any thoughts on the Wendell, NC area? There is a new community under construction, Edgemont Landing, that seems like it will be very nice and family friendly. Any thoughts on DR Horton (Builder)? Thanks!

Uh oh. I normally leave out around 7:15. Do you think it would be bad during that time? I work in the NC State area.

Really? Even now that the 64 bypass is open? Where does the traffic get bad?

You still lost me. Is traffic backed up at 6:45AM, or is it going 75MPH?

Don't worry - the commute isn't bad at all.

I live in Zebulon, just over the Franklin county line. I work downtown, near Cameron Village - not terribly far from NC State. My commute is 31.4 miles, and it takes me 35 minutes to get to work.

Taking the 64 bypass is much faster than going Business 64 through Knightdale - plus you miss about 14 traffic lights.

We bought in Edgemont Landing in Wendell. They have been great so far! The contractor is very meticulous and I was very happy to meet with him before they started construction. The neighborhood is very close to 64 which now connects to 440 so you wouldn't have a long commute. We are living in Knightdale now and my husband commutes downtown every morning and it doesn't take him long. Good luck!

That's great! Have you had a chance to venture out to see how far the grocery stores and things of that nature are from the community? We drove through last night and it seems like it will be a nice community. We have 2 children (5 & 7) and they were excited about the pool that will be there. How long before you move in?

There's a Food Lion nearby in Wendell, but I highly recommend the Lowe's Foods in Knightdale. It's not too far down the road, and much better quality.

I shop at the Lowes Foods now. I love it!! I think there might be a shortcut from that Lowes Foods to the Edgemont community. I'm gonna check it out this weekend.

I agree, I live in Knightdale, and Lowe's is the only decent place to food shop...a little pricey, but I will not step foot in the Food Lion. I will stop at Fresh Market (Falls of Neuse) or Super Target at Triangle Town on the way home if I need items, I love both of those stores as well...Harris Teeter when are you coming to Knightdale?
