Please don't turn this into a political debate. I just want to let people know that Obama will be holding a rally in downtown Raleigh tomorrow (Oct 29th). The rally is free and open to the public. Tickets are not needed. It will be held tomorrow around 11:00 outside on the lawn of the Halifax Mall (State governement area behind the Legislative Building pictured below). Here is a map of the location in downtown Raleigh: Google Map

It's outside, so that'll help with the crowds and getting in, but I tried to go to his indoor rally 9 days ago in Fayetteville, and you needed to show up about 3 hours before rally time to get in. So be forewarned.

(One thing nice about moving from MA to a swing state is that political campaigns actually pay attention to you. The downside, of course, is the endless political ads.)

What this means to me is: Heavy traffic! Avoid the area at all costs! :-)

To late already voted! Being I voted early is there a way to turn off the political commercials now???? Now there would be a incentive for early voting no matter who your candidate is!

I still regret that I didn't see Obama here in Durham back before the primaries simply because he bought pound cake for a bunch of by-standers. I would have liked some free pound cake!

I know how you feel. Unfortunately, I think the fast forward button on your DVR is the only answer. Thank goodness it'll all be over in a week!

Great, thanks for the heads up! I'll be sure to avoid the area on the 29th! I guess this would be a good day to stay put in Cary, avoid the traffic and cast my early vote for McCain.

Don't forget the insipid robo-calls, too.
I can see it now:
"Vote early and stop the harassment! Get the full package turned off!"
