Can anyone recommend a good mechanic/car maintenance place near the RTP or Brier Creek area? My husband and I are looking for a place that's reasonably priced, convenient, & quick. Right now we just need a tune up, but we need a place we can frequent with our 17-year-old car. :-)

Has anyone had experience w/the Monro Muffler near Brier Creek?

Default Not exactly

Not exactly what you asked, but if you are willing to drive to DT Durham, I know an EXCELLENT and completely honest mechanic there. The shop is called Cole's Auto & Transmission. The owner is Mike Cole, and he is incredible.

I know it feels like a long way, but DT Durham really isn't that far from the Brier Creek area. And you can't beat a good, honest mechanic.

fwiw,
Mike

I completely agree. The guy knows what he's doing, and he won't gouge you.

Mike, does he specialize in any particular vehicle, i.e., US, Japanese, etc.?

Definitely check out Atlantic Tire & Auto on S. Miami Blvd in RTP (near the intersection of Hopson Rd & Miami). It's very convenient to Brier Creek (less than 10 min) and on the outskirts of RTP. My husband & I have been taking our cars there for several years for all service & they have been great.

I somehow missed this many moons ago. No, they don't specialize in any particular make of vehicle. I am not sure whether there are makes and models they avoid. Regardless, he'll tell you over the phone whether he thinks he can help.
