just got done reading the latest issue of our state magazined(highly recommended). It had a really nice feature on the town of Wake Forest. I had forgotten all about Shorty's. I am going to grab a hotdog there one day this week. You should be able to read it online at ourstate.com it is the jan issue.

W took a ride to Wake Forest a few weeks ago - had never been there. Cute small downtown. We also ate at Shorty's. While the hotdogs were tasty..they were very RED inside (almost like red food coloring) which made me wonder what exactly was in them! lol..maybe I shouldn't even ask!

I was in Wake Forest a couple of years ago and was not very impressed. I think a lot has happened since then, so I may have to check it out again.

The change in the last couple of years has been quite easy to spot....we still have a long way to go in some regards....but it's moving in the right direction from what I can see.

Guess it just depends what you are looking for.
