Typically 65 in the winter. I can't handle the warmer temperatures (I keep the thermostat at 70 degrees in the summer).

i'm from maine. before i met hubby i kept mine at 62. hubby likes it around 72+. i used to complain about the heat, but after going out on the boat with him once or twice, i found it takes a long time- a day or two- to thaw out afterwards, so now i let him turn up the heat and i just wear summer clothes all winter. at night i close the heat register and put a pillow over it so our room can get cool enough for me to sleep.

You people are outta yore minds!!!!

Even with sweatpants, socks, and a long-sleeved shirt, I am so darn miserable at 66 that I don't even want to be at home. My bones hurt and I feel depressed and miserable. I was sort of mad at my current beau for buying me a "salad spinner" (my term for a sucky present) for Christmas - a space heater. Now I am so, so glad. I run that thing at top speed all evening and when I'm getting ready for work in the morning.

I wonder if it uses a lot of electricity. It only has to heat my bedroom and I keep the door shut.

I have lived in a tropical climate all my life. NC weather is really cold for me and I wondered how you guys from up north deal with internal temps.

My wife likes it cooler than I do. While I am at work and she is home she keeps it at our night time level of 63, but when I get home I bump it up to 66.

My system isn't balance well. Still need to tweak it. We keep our thermostat downstairs at 64. Upstairs seems to get abour 6-7 degrees warmer so if I set downstairs any higher than 64 upstairs feels like a sauna. To be honest I've gotten use to my downstairs being 64. It keeps my beer nice and cold while I sit on the couch

Do you guys have great insulation??

After living in Florida, I hate anything under 72. But this apartment has horrible insulation and I'm constantly freezing - I feel like I'm camping. My thermostat is currently on...75...and I'm wearing sweats.

It's a 1 br apartment though. But my heat bill was pretty high last month...

I recently looked at a rental house that was set on 65, had oil heat, and felt so much warmer than my current apartment! The windows here are very drafty.

I tend to keep my central air on 75 as well though so I guess it evens out.

We sleep with the thermostat on 65 at night. I have only my boxers on + a sheet. I throw the comforter off. My wife is next to me with socks, flannel PJs, and the down comforter and she's still cold.

I used to want it at 70-71, thinking 69 would be too cold. Well I've gotten used to the lower temp and the heating bill has gone down. If I get a chill I wrap in a throw off the couch.
