I think the main problem is people down here are not used to driving in the snow and don't have the equipment to remove it like they do elsewhere so it has to be taken very seriously.
Of course. Just like there's parts of the country that could never handle hurricane-style weather.
I'm just sayin', in upstate NY, we had another name for 4-6 inches of snow... "Golf weather."
yey snow, can't wait. I love the snow, bring it on.
As someone that has seen what even a small amount of snow can do to the roads in this area....can't say I am too excited.....not to mention the risk of loss of life.
Well, you never know. Here in Rhode Island they had forecasted 2-4 inches for yesterday, and I woke up to over a foot on my car!
I'm also from RI - now living in Cary. My dad said they've been getting hit every couple of days. I truly don't miss it. I just pulled my car into the garage so I won't have to clean it in the morning. At least in RI, the roads are usually plowed well and plwed early. Hoping for that here tomorrow.
But...we have tickets for Celine Dion tomorrow night at the RBC center! I hope that doesn't get cancelled!!
This is kind of thing I worried about when they started advertising that show in 2007.
