Does anyone remember that day in Jan of 85 when the morning low was 9 below zero? I remember that one as well. I was in college at State.

I remember that one! It was about six weeks before I got married and I had WAY too much to do!

We headed back thinking that driving south would be no problem, but the storm came in fast and from the south. By the time we got to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel we could hardly see. It was snowy & very windy--the closest thing to a blizzard I guess I've ever seen! We drove all that way, made it home, then everything came to a standstill for about a week.

Doesn't look like we are going to get a repeat of that tonight, though.

I remember that one! My sister had come home from college for spring break, TICKED off that our parents wouldn't let her go the beach unsupervised. Then it snowed, and I believe they had snow at the beach too. I have a picture of my dad and sister building a big snow man in the front year.

My husband's cousin got married that day. (I didn't know him at the time) When we sent our date for March 2, the whole family just groaned! Turned out to be a beautiful spring day!

Spring in NC is interesting, to say the least!
