I may be a cynic, but I think the notion that people are buying devices to allow them to speed with less impunity isn't new news. The device may be different, but the behaviors have been around for many years.
When you lose a family member to a driver going over the speed limit you will change your tune about smokies hiding behind bushes trying to catch speeders.
there's always someone with this argument. i could drive 100mph and be safer than half the people on the road are at 50. i haven't gotten a speeding ticket in at least 5 years, and i routinely speed. you have to know how to do it, and no radar detector is going to help you if they have a laser gun and are pointing it at you when you go over a hill.
