Avoid the Garner Best Buys. They are not a high end Best Buys if you are use to Magnolia and the difference in customer service within the chain.

i'm a big Best Buy fan. i've shopped at both the store in New Hope Commons (Durham) and Southpoint (Durham) with GREAT customer service.

when i bought my range from the New Hope Commons store, there was some sort of computer error where they could not sell me the service plan. apparently the range was so new it had not been entered into the system yet. several managers tried and they even called their customer service with no luck. i kept trying for days by calling their 1-800 number, but they could never get it done. i went back to the store and the store manager felt so bad he personally kept checking the system on a daily basis then went ahead and bought it for me when they got the problem figured out. of course, i paid for it when i went in to get the paperwork, but i was impressed with the effort.

Mike

I've had great success with major purchases at Lowes. Send me a message at yahoo.com if you want to know how to get 10% off Lowes coupons.

The one on NW Maynard Road is better than the one at Crossroads IMHO. It is cleaner, less crowded and associates are more accessible.

I recently got the best deals at HH Gregg, so you may want to add them to your list. Same with Home Depot.
