We have decided we need about 12x16 garden shed/barn for all our gardening equipment plus ride on lawnmower. We like "RainBows End Deluxe" from home depot but I'm wondering if anybody has comments about alternatives. We stopped by "Amish Built Barns" and the lady working there didin't have a clue about products or prices. I got ticked and left. Any other suggestions??

Thumbs up I second Carolina Yard Barns

Carolina Yard Barns does a great job. Their website gives pricing too so that you can get a good idea of how much you might spend. We designed our shed according to our needs and they built it onsite for us.

Search Craigslist. We found a carpenter to do ours for much cheaper than the bigger companies and/or Lowes/Home Depot. Quality was excellent, but I can't remember the guy's name...

I also went with Carolina Yard Barns and was really happy with the result - the shed is really high quality and the price was reasonable.

Gosh I hate when that happens. It's so frustrating to hear that someone has the BEST resource for something, but they can't remember who or what it is. Unfortunately on Craig's List there are lots of really bad and mediocre tradespeople just as there are decent ones. And there's no way to know the difference unless someone can actually remember who they used.

I found a carpenter on Craigslist who is currently in my backyard building me a 10x10. So far, it looks really good. He started yesterday morning and will be done by this evening.

I did the original post and here it is weeks later. We went with Carolina Yard Barns and couldn't be happier. The original guy building it fell and hurt his ankel pretty badly. We felt terrible but the next day another guy was here and finished it right up. We are very pleased. We even custom designed it a bit with a different configuration of roof and windows and they didn't blink an eye. Very smooth transaction---something we rarely can say these days.

Default Thanks

Hi, This Rob with Carolinayardbarns and I'd like to thank y'all for the kind words.

No Kudzu: did Andy ever bring your crutches back? He has finally recovered well enough to resume working.
