For those who want a Dunkin Donuts fix, a new store is opening in Durham next month.

This donut debate has brought back memories of selling KK donuts on Saturday mornings when I was in high school. I think we might have eaten more than we sold....

All I am saying is we do not have to have everything the same. Change is a good thing! Also why don't we ask the folks who were born and raised here. I bet they are fine with what they already have!

Uh oh...don't tell me that Dunkin Donuts is posturing for a takeover of North Carolina????

I won't stand for this and if this happens I will have to visit each and every one of their stores and splatter them with collard greens!

However, don't blame me as when I came down here from Massachusetts about 11 years ago I couldn't find a DD anywhere in Raleigh!!! Must be all those other Damned Yankees who followed us down here. I'll tell ya...no respect!

Humor keeps us alive and kicking...Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's everyone.

My wife was born and raised here, and she's just as addicted to DD as I am. If there was some store/food/whatever you liked, would YOU want to give it up and switch to something different just because "change is a good thing!"?

I was born and raised in the Carolinas, growing up in Wilmington NC. When I was a teen-ager, there was a KK with in walking distance of our home. The DD was a short drive away. This was over 30 years ago. I had no idea KK and DD weren't originally southern too

Don't worry Gym Diva. Its really quite wonderful to meet people from other parts of the country, and from other countries for that matter. They introduce new foods and flavors that are delicious and welcomed additions to our diets.
