as to the accuracy to the book, the wife said it deviates a good bit but is still an enjoyable experience. she explained some of the stuff that happens in the book to me once........wow. just wow.
LOL @ gouging. Guess you've never heard of supply and demand. As the post above says, it sells out wherever it goes.
Many people, here and elsewhere, have already complained at the $85 price point. It makes no difference to me, but it will to many people. It's a shame.

I buy tickets at the DPAC box office to avoid the TM service charges and to pick exact seats. The only problem is getting there before 5PM. It can be a bit tight but they don't close the window early.
Not positive, but it looks like they may have opened some more "prime" seats. I was looking to buy some advance orchestra seats a month or so ago but couldn't find any good enough to justify almost $300 for two tickets.
Well, low-and-behold, several awesome center orchestra section that were not available before.
Can't wait to surprise my wife on Valentine's Day. She assumes that we decided not to go because originally we could not find great seats.
VickyR--
I just got mine. I also wanted Section 6 (center). I ended up settling for Section 5, but not too far to the left of the center section. I kept trying by opening different windows, but all it did was offer me the same seats. (Darn computers are too smart!) I ended up trying a different night and had better luck. I'm going on a Tuesday.
These tickets seemed to sell out fast. I was having trouble finding two together for a weekend. Ticketmasters' interface really sucks. If you want to check multiple use different browsers, one in ie, one in firefox, one in chrome, etc.

I'll probably just get ours on Craigslist closer to the show date from someone who can't go. This has ALWAYS worked well for me.
I'm kinda surprised how long between the presale and the open to the public sale of tickets for this one. I bought mine back on December 8th and I was still getting notes about presale tix still available up till last week.
Did I hear right this a.m., or was I still in sleep mode? 50,000 tickets sold?
