I know tons of people that have been happy with Backyard Playgrounds. They use treated pine & that keeps their prices a bit lower than the competition. I saw their sets at their showroom/yard & seen them at private homes as well. They build a solid/heavy duty swingset. Very nice.
We ended up going with a put it together yourself set from Costco. I'm told all you have to do is ask and they have a list of people that can put them together for you.
Escalade Sports in Raleigh is a customer of mine and I purchased a set from them. They are also known as WoodPlay. Phone number is 919-875-4499.
Tell them Eric Platz sent you and ask for Lisa!
If you don't want to spend your child's college fund on a playest check out Craigslist. My neighbor just sold one and another friend bought one on Craigslist's site. You can always hire someone to dissemble and reassemble.
Just last week I had a very nice playset built in my backyard. After a lot of research I used Heritage Playsets (Heritage Playsets is your best choice for fun and creativity) and have been very happy with the result. Good price and solid quality. The kids (4&6) love it.
Lots of very good sets out there. We are sort of looking also. I love the Rainbow and WoodPlay sets, but they are $$$$$$. You do have to keep in mind safety when buying a set, especially used. Also longevity - materials and finishes have a lot to do with that. Stability is also important. Most of the premium brand websites have lists of FAQ that you should refer to with good points on things to consider when making a decision.
