Twelve families displaced due to sinkholes showing up. The cavers went down, found the remains of a gypsum mine from 100 years ago. There are some pictures of a 50s ford car. Several timbers and pillars holding up the the ceiling. Right off to the west the interstate.

Turns out the government officials knew about it as late as 2006. In 2000 the builder came to the planning commission and the fact there was a mine there was discussed. Bore holes were suggested but not done. In 2006 the road started sinking and the builder wanted to close it and they would not let him do it. I think $$$$ was driving a lot of the decisions. Now there is going to be hell to pay.
