I am purchasing a house and I am a first buyer. I fell through the ceiling when I was checking the AC in the attic. Both buyer agent and seller agent were in the house, but they didn't warn me the potential danger. Should I be responsible for the damage?
Did you have permission to inspedt what you seem to admit you didn't have the ense to do right? Yes;you danged the house because of your neglect to hire a inspector that would have know the danger. Poor excuse in your slaim really.

The walk through is before closing. Isn't the problem, whose insurance is in force at the point that the damage occurred?
It's absolutely clear that the OP is responsible for any deductible, but what are the legalities regarding insurance coverage? (And, trust me, whatever is ethical, the insurance company or companies are going to care about the letter of the law.)

I don't think insurance would cover that but either way the OP is responsible.
