Does anyone specialize in selling businesses?
I read recently that in many states all it takes is having a real estate license to sell businesses but I wonder how many do and if it's a profitable business

Selling businesses and commercial leasing were how I survived the early 80's real estate market. Any business I sell now is sort of accidental as I don't go looking for the business. It was profitable when selling houses wasn't, but that was almost 30 years ago.
It is profitable and a handful of agents in each metro area make a good living do it. However, in good times residential market is more profitable. It can be a good niche market for the right kind of person.
