7 years or 10 days does not make anyone a great lawyer or real estate agent. That's just the key to open the door.

You're correct but desire, intelligence, and training makes someone good at their job. The amount of time required before starting a career is something a moot point. Honest1 can't seem to understand the 8 days is the minimum requirement but most agents, even part timers, have completed more than just the minimum.

clearly someone needs to educate you on the time an agent spends and what they actually get paid. Lets take a typical "BIG name broker" Most charge 6%. That gets split 4 ways. The listing agent and their company and the selling agent and their company. At most the agent bringing the buyer will get the 2.4%... more than likely 1.2 (half). So on a 200,000 it would be 2400.00. Keep in mind most people look at at least 15-20 houses. That's driving there and back, time in the house, time researching the house, time when it comes to write an offer, time for inspection, time getting files put together... no money towards gas, car maintenance, tech fees and realtor dues which are around 700/year..ins with your real estate company, another 700, monthly fees for MLS use etc.... So 900.00/hour????? are you freaking kidding me? NAIVE!!
The rarity of a FSBO actually happening and not being willing to pay a 2.4% to an agent that brings a buyer is a joke. 90 some percent of houses are listed on the MLS. How would you feel if you stuck a forty hour work week in and then your boss said, oh sorry, not going to get a dime for this week... better luck next. You wouldn't think that was to fair would you. Think before you speak next time.
