I do know I need some help of getting around here. Can I let you know I'm a Realtor in the State of Montana? How do I go about doing this? Could someone with a kind heart show me the way around here? Please!
HI - all you do is click into a thread you find interesting or wish to comment/opinion on -
then you can either hit "quote" on someone's thread response and respond then save
OR
you can just add onto the thread with a "post reply"
Obviously you already know how to create a new thread - good job
If you click on the threads "name" in the left corner - you can send them a PM
If you click on the "hourglass" you can comment to their reputation
and if you just click on "rate this positively" you have have given them a boost on their reputation w/o commenting
This is the most fun - and the most learned-
Welcome Aboard...
Thank You so much. Wow! I'm learning! Can I ask you a question? Can I "write a post" here of letting everyone know I'm a Realtor in the State of Montana?
NOt sure take a look - in the first thread addressed to realtors - but we are relocating to Idaho and found our realtor - on here - and she is great -
she advises everyone - and then when she sees you are relocating in the discussion - she privately PM's or she invites you to private PM to her - I know she can't solicit " hey call me - here's my number" over the main thread
Well cherylfrei, you did just let everyone know you are a realtor in Montana. Welcome!
The main goal of the forum is for people to offer and seek advice, and debate issues, regarding pretty much everything and anything, even though I believe this started as mainly a relocation forum. Your goal should not be to build your client base, to sell a home or to help someone buy a specific home. If you have expertise or an opinion on anything real estate related, feel free to jump into any of the discussions already taking place.
To read the last "post" on any particular "thread" (another word for topic), just click on the little arrow all the way over to the right under the "last post" column. You obviously already know how to start a topic, so you've got that covered.

Cherylfrei,
Your location is alread visable in the upper right hand corner of your post box right under "join date", it comes from when you signed up and listed where you live.
Welcome to CD!
Absarokee MT... I loved fishing and visiting that city when I was a kid. Don't forget to try and get into the land sales of real estate. I know the rich want to come in and build their "cabin" in your area these days. Granted the cabin doesn't have an uncut log in it, and probably has a heliport...but...

Welcome!
Magellan had good advice. The only thing I would add is make sure you read the rules and guidelines of the forum. If people have questions about your area try to refrain from things like " I'm a realtor, email me if you have any questions". They already know you're a realtor and they already know they can send you a message. Have fun and we look forward to your posts!
