If it was new construction your agent has to personally (or maybe you can too) go on Zillow and add the sale so it shows up on their production. Good luck with getting a response from them. I've spent the last 2 days fighting with Zillow getting new construction (some of it from 2 years ago!) to show up as a claimed sale; Zillow thinks the property doesn't exist.
I quit trying. It is NOT my job or responsibility to legitimize Z, and particularly if they don't consider it their responsibility or mission.
Another misguided consumer believing the real estate world depends on Zillow.
Zillow is a wanna be MLS on steroids and it fails miserably. I promise, everytime a consumer quotes Zillow, a real estate professional is trying very hard not to roll their eyes. Anytime a consumer quotes someone's Zillow rating, hands are over the mouth covering a smirk. And then, there are those that are so beyond trying to correct Zillow-quats, they've get this glazed look of of knowing not to contradict, they nod knowingly, as a natural reflex.
Just like BankRate, Zillow is nothing more than an expensive lead generation website. Click everywhere and often.
