Nope, absolutely not. I have a friend whose family had a multi-million dollar house on Nantucket. They sold it after 2 years. Reason? It was next door to a church and they got fed up with all the noise, especially with old buildings and poor insulation.
I'm pretty sure it was the guy poorly practicing the trumpet at 6 am every day was the last straw.
A 5 feet larger lot size is hardly enough to notice.
As for the church, I wouldn't buy within 1-2 blocks of a church at all because I would be concerned about resale. Some people are really adamant about not living close to a church or school, because of the traffic problems and/or noise at certain times.

Not near a church, mosque, synagogue or temple. Schools are not that bad, most of the activity is during the day, and many people like being close to a school. The extra 5 feet means nothing... remember, most of the time you are inside your house or on the patio anyways. No one is going to pay you any extra for it.
I would say no 99% of the time. However, in the site plan those lots are tiny. If it's the only way to get any outside space you have to bite the bullet.
I would not live with a church in my backyard. This church is going to be huge and will have constant events which will have noise. There's nothing you could do about that.
I've been to my great grandmother's house numerous times over the years which is several blocks from a church. Those church bells are freaking LOUD. They get old, too.
