I’m going to go see a 1978 Governor brand mobile home on Sunday. I’ve been doing research trying to find more information on the brand. But I’m coming back with nothing at all. I’m beginning to think that maybe a bigger company made the Mobile home and ”Governor“ is the type? I really am at a loss. I never thought finding information on a mobile home would be this hard. So if anyone can help me out I’d applicate it!

A 1978 mobile home? Are they paying you to take it away?

I lived in a 1960s mobile home for a very long time and it was in a million time better shape then the 1998 mobile home I’m currently living in (not my own) the year isn’t always a factor on how the mobile home will be. It depends on how it has been kept up.

The modern term is manufactured and not mobile.

Only by the steel frame mobile people who want/need to confuse people vs the actual wood off site built homes.

OP: be sure the (DMV) title is good on that 40yo mobile.

So many of those mobile home companies have came and went over the years. A lot of times they get bought out by the bigger companies. Fleetwood and Clayton have swallowed up a lot of them.
