I got a quote that seemed to low to be true.....for a 249K house built in 1996 here in South Florida....I got a quote of 1,989 dollars. The agent told me it is through universal casualty and property insurance. Thanks for any insight..
I checked out the name on A. M. best ratings, they give ratings for all insurance companies, and I could not find the name. The closest I could find was universal casualty company and they had a rating of B+ but a negative outlook. Basically thats not good.
Most every company i've seen that has "casualty" in the name is a sub-par/high risk company. Most of these companies are the classic great rates, but don't come looking for a claim type deals. Taking the cheap route on something as important as homeowner's insurance isn't a good idea.
